WPColt

Editorial Policy

WPColt publishes WordPress cache diagnostics, performance explainers, plugin reviews, updated legacy guides, and practical site-owner education. The editorial goal is useful decision support, not generic software content.

Editorial standards

  • Articles should answer the reader’s real problem before recommending tools.
  • Technical claims should be specific enough to verify.
  • Old URLs with backlink value may be rebuilt when the original topic is still useful.
  • Product reviews should name tradeoffs, not only benefits.
  • Cache advice should separate public-page performance from private-page safety.

How old content is handled

WPColt has legacy URLs that still receive links from older WordPress resources. When those URLs are updated, the goal is not to recreate outdated advice blindly. The new page should respect the original search intent while updating the guidance for current WordPress behavior, modern caching, privacy expectations, and safer maintenance practices.

Sponsored posts and guest posts

Guest posts and sponsored content may be considered only when the topic is relevant to WordPress owners, developers, agencies, or publishers. Sponsored relationships should be disclosed. WPColt should retain editorial control over accuracy, formatting, outbound links, and claims.

Review methodology

Content type Minimum editorial expectation
Cache guide Defines the layer, explains evidence, names common conflicts, and includes verification steps.
Plugin review Explains use case, tradeoffs, performance impact, maintenance risk, and cache behavior.
Hosting review Covers support, backups, staging, cache visibility, object cache, CDN behavior, and migration risk.
Legacy tutorial Preserves useful intent while warning where old advice no longer applies.

Corrections

Corrections are welcome. Send the page URL, the exact issue, and the source or reproduction step that supports the correction. WPColt should update factual errors and add notes when advice changes over time.
