Create Floating Sidebar Widget in WordPress

In this guide, you will learn how to create sticky floating sidebar widget. Floating sidebar widget can be useful when you use them for sign ups, email opt-in forms, featuring products, etc.

How to create the Floating Sidebar Widget:

1- Install and activate this free plugin Q2W3 Fixed Widget (Sticky Widget).

2- Go to Appearance -> Fixed Widget Options

This is the plugin’s options page, you can change the position of the floating sidebar widget, change the refresh interval (higher values will lead to higher CPU usage), also you can disable the floating sidebar widget for particular screen resolutions.

3- Go to Appearance -> Widgets and click on the widget that you want to make sticky. The plugin adds a Fixed Widget option in all of your widgets. Check the Fixed widget box and save changes. Go to your frontend and scroll down. Your fixed widget will now be a sticky floating sidebar widget.

Remember, you can have multiple fixed widgets in your sidebar, but this may cause technical issues and may affect your users’ experience. Use it wisely!
