As a blogger, I have been searching for a WordPress coupons plugin to provide you, our dear visitor, with different discounts, coupons and best deals helping you to grow your WordPress website.
WP Coupons – WordPress Coupons Plugin
WP Coupons is exactly as what its developers claim, “Developed by affiliate marketers, for affiliate marketers”. It makes adding coupons and deals to your website as simple as ABC.
How it Works
To see it in action you can check our coupons page, the plugin has a built-in widget that you can use in your website sidebar. Also, you can use shortcodes to add any coupon to any post/page on your site.
You can set the coupon widget to be a floating one as shown in this guide.
The plugin will rotate your coupons in the sidebar widget, but you can force a specific coupon to be displayed on a particular post or page.
WP Coupons comes with 3 licenses. Each license gives you 1 year of updates and support. You can have the plugin installed on your websites for an unlimited period.
You will have to renew your license to continue receiving the plugin updates and support annually.
How to Install
After purchasing the plugin, head to your account at wpcoupons.io.
– Click on View Details and Downloads.
– Then scroll all the way down and click on wp-coupons
– A .zip file will be downloaded, upload it to your website and activate. A new item in your dashboard menu will appear labeled Coupons.
Configure WP Coupons
WP Coupons is almost a ready-to-use plugin, after you install it, you can go directly and create your coupons. Yet, we’re gonna dive into the settings page to see what the plugin has to offer. To access the plugin’s setting page, go to your WordPress dashboard -> Settings -> WP Coupons.
You can use this page to change multiple options of the plugin such as the slug of the coupons archive the default one is coupon and you can change it for example to deal. Many things you can customize such as ‘Call to Action’ text, homepage’s widget coupon, the width of the coupon archive page, etc.
One important thing, if your theme is not compatible with the plugin, don’t worry. You can disable the default coupon archive and the single coupon template and use shortcodes instead. Just add the plugin’s shortcode to any page and it will display your coupons!
You can change the feel and the look of your coupons by using the WP Coupons Style Options page to change the colors and also the fonts used by the plugin to match your theme.
In the extras page, you can force the coupon button links to go directly to the corresponding discount URL if one is set instead of going to the single coupon post. Additionally, you can add any custom CSS code to the plugin.
The real ‘extra’ option is that you can add content before or after the coupons archive content.
As you see, you can add whatever you want before or after your coupons in the coupons page.
License and Support Tabs
The license page is where you can activate your license. It also includes many other details about your subscription. Under the support tab you can find a link to the support page and other tips on how to use WP Coupons plugin’s shortcodes
I didn’t have to contact their support for an issue, but it was a feature request to add a “Not Working” message beneath each coupon and an option to link it to any page such as a Contact page. A few minutes later, I got this message:
Get it Now!
Using WP Coupons shortcode, I’m adding a 5% discount exclusive for WPColt visitors.
